Conservative Christian group rejects Trump at annual summit.

Christians United for Israel Snubs Former President Trump at Annual Summit

In a surprising move, Christians United for Israel (CUFI), an influential evangelical group, has decided not to invite former President Donald Trump to its annual summit.”>highly anticipated annual summit. The event, taking place just outside the nation’s capital from July 16-18, will feature prominent Republican figures, but Trump’s absence is raising eyebrows.

“While he has been invited in the past, former President Donald Trump was not invited to speak at this year’s summit,” revealed a senior CUFI source to the Washington Examiner.

Despite Trump’s claim of a scheduling conflict, it has been reported that he was not extended an invitation, even though he is currently leading the pack in the GOP presidential race. This marks the third major gathering of potential 2024 candidates that Trump has chosen not to attend.

However, other notable Republican figures, such as Trump’s former running mate Mike Pence, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), will be present at the summit, making it a significant event for those vying for the presidential nomination.

Interestingly, Trump will be attending Charlie Kirk’s student group, Turning Point Action, at their conference in West Palm Beach, Florida, over the weekend. But it’s worth noting that DeSantis, the governor of Florida, will not be present at the Turning Point Action conference, despite it being held in his own state.

The CUFI, founded by Pastor John Hagee, is the largest pro-Israel group in the nation and holds considerable influence. Any Republican candidate eyeing the 2024 nomination will need to court the support of CUFI members.

Representatives from the Trump campaign have yet to comment on the matter.
