Even wrongheaded people can make good points, but in the case of PETA’s criticism of actor Pete Davidson’s new puppy, they missed the mark entirely.

“It’s tragic that Pete didn’t seek out a borough-born mutt from a city animal shelter, because a scrappy New Yorker with charm, personality, and unconventional handsomeness could have been his perfect match.”

Davidson and his girlfriend were blasted by PETA for purchasing their new puppy from a pet store instead of adopting from a shelter. Davidson responded with a fiery voicemail, defending his choice and calling out PETA for their narrow-mindedness.

“So why don’t you do your research before you f***ing create news stories for people because you’re a boring, tired [expletive]. So f*** you and suck my d***.”

While Davidson’s response may have been unnecessarily vulgar, PETA’s criticism was unwarranted. The organization’s existence is a direct affront to God’s natural order of creation, and their disregard for this order is only matched by their inability to mind their own business.

On the grand list of societal issues, Davidson’s choice of puppy procurement wouldn’t even crack the top billion. PETA’s insistence on making it an issue is closed-minded and bigoted.
