Coach Andy Reid Did Not Allow Chiefs to Watch Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

The Kansas City Chiefs Halftime of Super Bowl LVII was down 10 points, so they couldn’t allow their minds to wander.

Andy Reid banned them all from watching Rihanna’s halftime show.

Although her performance was the most watched halftime show ever, no Chiefs fan saw it live. Patrick Mahomes.

“Coach Reid told us, he said, ‘If you go out to watch the performance, just keep walking, because you’re not playing the rest of the game,'” Jimmy Kimmel was informed by Mahomes.

Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson Paak — we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, as he is a kicker.

Darrin Simmons, Special Teams Coordinator, wasn’t thrilled and called it “a sore subject” Last year.

McPherson didn’t suffer from the show, going 4-for-4 in field goals and extra points attempts. Reid, however, didn’t want any risk. 

You don’t have to feel sorry for the Chiefs. Kansas City overcame an 10-point deficit in order to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles38-35 for their second Super Bowl since 2020.
