Cindy Crawford Says She and Her Husband Have ‘More Traditional’ Roles In Their Marriage

Supermodel Cindy Crawford recently revealed that she and her husband of 25 years, Rande Gerber, have a “more traditional” approach when it comes to dividing household tasks.

“If something around the house needs repair — he’ll repair it if he knows how,” Crawford, 57, stated in an interview with People. “If the air conditioning’s not working, he deals with that. Or if there’s a patch of grass that needs replacing. So I would say we’re pretty good at divvying up the responsibilities of life.”

Crawford added that she tends to take charge of household management duties, such as grocery shopping, menu planning, and scheduling appointments. According to Crawford, their arrangement is similar to the “traditional roles” they witnessed growing up.

The couple has two children, Presley, 23, and Kaia, 21, and Crawford believes their family was able to mature from the choice of including their children at the dinner table rather than at a separate kids’ table as is often done. 

“I think because of that, they’re very comfortable in most life situations,” Crawford explained.

Previously, Crawford spoke out about embracing her aging and accepting changes to her appearance. She also disapproved of being labeled as “ageless”. “Being told I’m ageless isn’t right, especially because getting older is hard enough, never mind that we live in a youth-obsessed culture,” she explained.

In addition to her family, Crawford also values punctuality as one of her greatest strengths.
