Chris Christie says Trump has not ‘cleared’ 2024 GOP primary field

Former Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) cautioned those calling former President Donald Trump the likely 2024 nominee that he has not “cleared” the field of fellow GOP primary candidates.

Christie disproved the notion that Trump had also won the election despite some 2024 candidates, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, choosing not to take on the previous leader. Trump is regarded as the field’s’s front-runner, followed by Gov. In a number of polls, Ron DeSantis( R-FL ) came in second, but other candidates lagged far behind the two leaders.

” I don’t believe the industry is beginning to resemble Trump. You are at least an ambiguous win when you are indicted in one location and are being investigated in two others. He is the previous president, though, once more. He will therefore undoubtedly become the front offset. Of all the competitors in the race, he has the best term Card. Christie said on ABC’s’s This Week on Sunday,” But you already have four candidates who announced.

This is what I said on this highlight a few months ago. This won’t make a field in 2016. There will be between six and eight applicants running for office. It will be a subject of typical size. Christie continued,” But it won’t make a subject that Donald Trump has cleared.

Christie added that he thinks the 2024 candidates who declared they wouldn’t go probably did so for personal reasons more than thinking Trump may lose the primary.

Tim Scott is now in the race, and you can visit Asa Hutchinson and Nikki Haley in it. These are important individuals who will have something to mention. Therefore, Christie said,” I don’t think that’s’s what it means at all. Each of these choices, in my opinion, was made on a more personalized level. I believe Pompeo made a decision specifically because he didn’t want to do it. And boy, you’ve’ve got to really want to do it to get in.

Christie, who ran for president in 2016, made hints that he might do so again in 2024, but when questioned right about this week, Christie refused to make a choice.
