Catholic group launches ad campaign exposing Dodgers’ bigotry.

A conservative Catholic coalition is taking aim at the Los Angeles Dodgers for promoting an LGBT anti-Christian hate group at the baseball team’s “Pride Night” on Friday.

CatholicVote, a Wisconsin-based non-profit, launched a seven-figure ad campaign prior to the Pride Night event that is expected to commence at Dodgers Stadium, where the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (SPI) will be given the “Community Hero Award.” The radical LGBT group features members who mock Catholicism by dressing up as so-called “queer and trans nuns” as they desecrate Christian symbols.

The group went viral in May following their initial invite by the MLB team when videos surfaced of the organization’s “Hunky Jesus” contest from April, wherein activists performed a pole dance on a man standing at a cross.

This is the group the @Dodgers are giving a “community heroes” award to. The sisters of perpetual indulgence @SFSisters are an anti-Christian hate group and an adult sex act. Lots of baseball players follow me. Are any of you going to speak up or will you allow Jesus to be spit… pic.twitter.com/sqrKqSexRh

The far-left activists were then uninvited and reinvited by the LA Dodgers after the team tried to appease critics with a “Christian Faith Night” amid the controversy.

The new ad from CatholicVote titled, “The Dodgers Have Lost Their Way,” highlights the LA Dodgers’ history through the civil rights era when Jackie Robinson was the first black player in the MLB.

“The Dodgers were trailblazers,” the narrator begins. “playing Jackie wasn’t popular. Hate and disrespect were popular … But the Dodgers were right.”

“But today,” the ad continues, “the Dodgers are putting it all at risk.”

On June 16th, a prominent, anti-Catholic hate group will be honored on the field. A group that mocks Catholic nuns with vile sexual perversions. Pole dances on crosses, blessings with sex toys, even sexualizing the Virgin Mary and the words of Jesus Christ. A fringe group like this? Honored? Awarded? Celebrated? There is no equality in mocking women religious, no tolerance in hate, no pride in anti-Catholic bigotry.

The campaign from CatholicVote comes as a station airing the game rejected another ad from Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio condemning the Dodgers’ decision to platform SPI. According to the Catholic senator, his own Reclaim America PAC had reserved a 30-second spot on Spectrum SportsNet LA but was rejected by the local station without reason.

“Tonight, the Dodgers aren’t celebrating pride; they are promoting bigotry,” Rubio said in the ad. “The so-called Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are not community heroes. They are nothing more than an anti-Catholic hate group.”

Rubio and Brian Burch, the president of CatholicVote, published an op-ed in The Federalist blasting the Dodgers’ plans for Pride Night Friday.

“How could a venerated American institution like the Dodgers — who play for 4 million Catholics in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles alone and count devout Catholics such as Vin Scully, Tommy Lasorda, and Gil Hodges among their beloved legends — celebrate such radically anti-Catholic bigots?” they wrote. “Why would Dodgers owner Todd Boehly decide to taint baseball’s beloved legacy of patriotism, faith, and family with a group that exists to defile religious values?”
