Officers from the Capitol are seeking a 14 % budget increase: state

The police force tasked with defending the U.S. Capitol complex is reportedly looking for a roughly 14% increase to its budget for the upcoming year.

According to a statement from CBS News, the U.S. Capitol Police is asking for$ 840 million in funding for 2024 because the agency’s funding has soared in recent years.
