Canadian Rover Helping in Global Search for Frozen Water on Dark Side of the Moon

The Canadian lunar Rover This could help uncover the moon’s darker side.

Chris Herd (a University of Alberta planetologist and scientific investigator) said that the discovery of ice may be a step-stone for further explorations of our solar system.

Herd is a former Mars worker Rover Mission: Frozen water “can be extracted and used as a resource for the astronauts to survive.” According to him, the ice can also be broken down into oxygen and hydrogen for fuel. This would reduce the costs of transporting those resources from Earth.

“It reduces the costs of sending humans to the moon (and) that’s the ultimate goal,” He said.

Osinski stated that there has been renewed interest for moon exploration since the last las.
