California Judge Stops Soros Prosecutor From Slashing Triple-Murderer’s Sentence
A recently elected democratic prosecutor’s attempt to reduce a triple murderers sentence was thwarted this week by an California judge.
District Attorney Pamela Price’s follow offer was rejected by Alameda County district prosecutor Mark McCannon for the 2008 quad murder-for-hire, among other atrocities, charge against the 31-year-old. Delonzo Logwood was ready for a statement of 75 years to life, but Price, who took work in November and has stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from the liberal billionaire George Soros, tried to sentence him to just 15 years in prison.
Our journey in the present is to put an end to the violence in our community, as I formerly stated, despite the fact that these crimes took place almost 15 years ago, Price said in a statement following the judge’s ruling. ” We appreciate Mr. Logwood’s dedication to the fight against the crime, and we thank everyone for working together to safeguard public health.”
McCannon’s ruling is a setback for California’n democratic reform of the criminal justice system, which was funded by billionaires. Chesa Boudin, a progressive district attorney, was ousted by San Francisco citizens last year due to his soft-on-crime laws.
According to ABC News, Longwood is also accused of robbery and carjacking. He also allegedly killed a prosecutor witness who was scheduled to testify against his step-brother.
Price received$ 130,000 from Soros in exchange for her unsuccessful 2018 district attorney pay. Even though her challenger was also black, she managed to narrowly lose last November by claiming to be the court’s very dark district attorney. Logwood vowed never to bring charges against adolescents as adults during her campaign. In exchange for a guilty plea to one count of voluntary manslaughter, she offered Logwood — who was 18 at the time of his accused crimes— a plea deal.
The mother of one of Logwood’s alleged victim, who wrote:” If he kills again, the blood will be on your hands ,” vehemently objected to the plea deal from Price. He will murder once more.
The largest city in Alameda, Oakland, generally ranks as one of the country’s most hazardous.
According to Price, reducing violent crime necessitates” jointly with community-based businesses” rather than prosecuting criminals. This week, she expressed her support for President Joe Biden’s recognizing of activist Bryan Stevenson, claiming that his work” inspires us every day to reject the really wealthy Karens of the world & keep doing the work.”
Quinn Delaney, the rich San Francisco developer’s woman who helped fund Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon and Boudin, as well as the wives of Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, hedge fund billionaire James Simons and Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger, funded Smart Justice California, a team that supported Price for her 2022 culture.
