Byron Donalds: ‘Conservative policies thrive in 2024, while Biden’s performance is disastrous.’

Rep. Byron Donalds: Republican Victory in 2024 Hinges on Proven Conservative Policies

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) is confident that the key to a Republican victory in the 2024 general election lies in embracing proven and thriving conservative policies. While Donalds has thrown his support behind former President Donald Trump, he argues that any of the GOP candidates would be far superior to the policies of President Joe Biden.

Conservatives Wage War on Biden’s Administrative State

“The question is, my view since I am endorsing President Trump in the race, who did the job better?” Donalds told Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany. “You have two guys that were commander in chief. One was significantly better than the other. That’s without question. Look at every issue facing our country, crime, the border, inflation, foreign policy — Joe Biden has been a disaster. Look at any of our nominees: Even though I am supporting President Trump, any one of them would do a much better job than the current commander in chief.”

“You can’t have somebody out there who is just fumbling words every other time he takes a microphone,” he said. “It’s embarrassing.”

When asked about whether the recent Democratic win in the mayor’s race in Jacksonville, Florida, could be a sign of trouble for the Republican Party in 2024, Donalds dismissed any concern.

“I looked at that mayor’s race. That’s more of an anomaly. But no, Florida is not in play,” Donalds said. “When you compare us to a state like California, a state like Illinois or New York, the reason why people continue to choose Florida is because conservative policies have flourished, they have thrived, and that’s what’s leading our state. And people are choosing our state. I’m not worried what’s going to happen here in 2024.”

A survey released Monday showed that 52% believe Biden has been a “worse president than most recent presidents,” while only 32% believe he has been “better.”
