Former President Trump is causing a stir once again, this time threatening to skip the Republican primary debates. He took to social media to complain that he had not been consulted about the debates and predicted that moderators would be hostile towards him. The Republican National Committee had previously announced that the opening debate for Republican presidential candidates would be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in August 2023, with 10 to 12 debates scheduled between August and the Republican National Convention in the summer of 2024. However, Trump is not happy with the lack of consultation and has even attacked the location for the second debate, which is being held at the Reagan Library. This has led to speculation about whether he will participate at all. It wouldn’t be the first time Trump has skipped debates, having refused to participate in a Fox News debate in 2016 and causing the cancellation of a Republican presidential debate in Salt Lake City later that year. Will he show up this time? Only time will tell.
