Bombshell Report: Epstein Tried to Shake Down Bill Gates for Investment

A new report from The Wall Street Journal alleges that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein believed he had leverage over Bill Gates and attempted to indirectly extort the Microsoft co-founder for an investment in one of Epstein’s projects. The report claims that Epstein hinted at an affair between Gates and a Russian bridge player named Mila Antonova in 2017 while trying to establish a fund. Antonova declined to comment on the allegations.

Gates’ Response

A representative for Gates issued a statement denying the allegations, stating that Gates met with Epstein solely for philanthropic purposes and that Epstein attempted to leverage a past relationship to threaten Gates. Gates has previously stated that his interactions with Epstein were minimal and that he regrets having had dinners with him.

Antonova’s Experience with Epstein

Antonova met Epstein through Gates adviser Boris Nikolic while trying to start an online business to teach people to play bridge. Epstein paid for Antonova’s schooling when she decided to become a software programmer. Antonova stated that she had no idea about Epstein’s criminal activities and was disgusted by them.

Epstein’s Pitch for a Charity Fund

At the time, Epstein was pitching a fund for charity, calling for an investment of $100 million per partner. He acted as though he and Gates were partners, which the Gates representative denied. Epstein got in touch with Gates asking to be reimbursed for Antonova’s school costs, claiming that he knew about the affair and could expose it. The representative for Gates denied that Gates ever paid.

Gates’ Regret

Gates has expressed regret for his interactions with Epstein, stating that they were a mistake and did not result in what Epstein purported. He has also emphasized his commitment to philanthropy and global health.

Despite the allegations, Gates has maintained that his contacts with Epstein were philanthropic and superficial.
