Bolton: Trump’s ‘disturbing’ habit of collecting things in office.

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton Criticizes Trump’s Behavior

Former national security adviser John Bolton expressed his concern over the “very disturbing” behavior of former President Donald Trump during his time in office. According to Bolton, there was no justification for Trump’s actions.

Bolton, who served in the Trump administration for two years, recently spoke to MSNBC’s Jen Psaki about what he described as a recurring pattern of behavior exhibited by Trump. He revealed that Trump had a tendency to collect various items that piqued his interest, including clippings, mementos, and even classified documents. Bolton found this behavior deeply troubling.

During meetings, Bolton noticed Trump’s inclination to hold onto things, prompting Bolton and his team to make an effort to retrieve these items whenever possible. However, they were not always successful in doing so, leading to potential security risks.

Trump currently faces 37 counts of indictment by the Justice Department, which include charges related to alleged obstruction and mishandling of classified documents.

Bolton, having witnessed Trump’s behavior firsthand, stated that he didn’t need to read the indictment to believe its allegations. He expressed confidence in the validity of the charges.

One incident that Bolton highlighted was when Trump tweeted a picture of a failed Iranian missile launch during an intelligence briefing. Bolton emphasized that there was absolutely no excuse for such an action, as it served no purpose other than to boost Trump’s ego. This incident, according to Bolton, exemplifies the mindset that he believes was prevalent throughout Trump’s presidency.
