Bob Saget Discussed The Afterlife Days Before His Death Death During A Betty White Tribute

The world is still reeling from the tragic loss of actor and comedian Bob Saget. 

The 65-year-old performer had just kicked off his 2022 comedy tour when news of his death rocked the entire Hollywood community. Former colleagues and friends immediately shared statements of grief, with everyone agreeing what a kind, caring, and genuine person Saget was. That’s a rarity in the entertainment industry. 

“I don’t know what to say 💔. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much,” Candace Cameron Bure, who co-starred on “Full House” with Saget, wrote in a Twitter post.

“I am broken. I am gutted.  I am in complete and utter shock.  I will never ever have another friend like him.  I love you so much Bobby,” fellow “Full House” alum John Stamos shared.

One of the hardest aspects of Saget’s death was how unexpected it was. Hours before the comedian was discovered in a Florida hotel room, he tweeted about a great performance and how much fun he was having on tour.

“Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville,” Saget tweeted at 3:45 a.m. on January 9. “Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkinsfor opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this sh**. Check http://BobSaget.com for my dates in 2022.”

And in an eerie premonition, the “America’s Funniest Home Videos” host brought up what happens after people die during a recent tribute to Betty White. The “Golden Girls” star died at 99 years old on New Year’s Eve, just nine days before Saget passed away.

The actor shared a funny personal anecdote about White and shared how much he would miss her. He mentioned the afterlife while discussing how the beloved star was likely reunited with her late husband.

“She always said the love of her life was her husband, Allen Ludden, who she lost in 1981. Well, if things work out by Betty’s design— in the afterlife, they are reunited,” Saget wrote on Instagram. “I don’t know what happens when we die, but if Betty says you get to be with the love of your life, then I happily defer to Betty on this. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Betty White. My God we will miss you.”

Saget is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, who he wed in 2018. He also has three daughters – Aubrey, Lara Melanie, and Jennifer Belle – from a previous marriage. According to Fox News, the actor lost his sister Andrea to a brain aneurysm in 1985. His other sister Gay died from the autoimmune disorder scleroderma in 1994, which led Saget to devote a lot of money and energy to discovering a cure.

Saget directed the 1996 TV movie “For Hope,” which featured the story about a battle with scleroderma plus helped raise awareness of the disease based on his sister’s experience. 

The comedian wrote in an Instagram post that finding a cure for scleroderma was one of his “life’s missions.”
