LSU team event at White House stopped due to health problem.

Medical Emergency Interrupts President Biden’s Speech

President Joe Biden’s speech was unexpectedly interrupted on Friday when a person standing onstage appeared to have a medical emergency. The incident occurred as Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and first lady Jill Biden were welcoming the Louisiana State University women’s basketball team to the White House after their 2023 NCAA championship win.

White House Not Budging on Work Requirements, Causing an Impasse in Negotiations

The video started with the first lady welcoming the LSU Tigers to the White House. “In this room, I see the absolute best of the best,” she said before naming various players. Jill Biden went on to commend the team on their hard work and perseverance that got them the acclaimed win. Harris spoke after Jill Biden, and she similarly commended the team.

However, the problem arose when Joe Biden got up to speak. The president started by addressing the team directly and commending them on their performance. Then, around the 14-minute, 18-second mark, the people standing behind Joe Biden appeared to direct their attention to something other than his remarks. “Help, help, help, help, help,” a person can be heard saying in the video. People started rushing up to the stage.

The camera cut to a wide angle, and the sign language interpreter seemed to exemplify the confusion in the room. Biden eventually stopped talking and looked to see what was going on. The crowd converged in one area of the stage, and Joe Biden could be heard trying to calm the crowd as the video cut out.
