Biden Says He Plans To Run Again But Isn’t Ready To Announce

President Joe Biden declared on Monday that he plans to run for re-election but is not yet prepared to make an official system announcement.

The remarks were made during an NBC News interview held at the White House‘s’s annual Easter Egg Roll.

Al Roker, the host of the” Today” show, said,” I plan on running, Al, but we’re’re not prepared to announce it yet.” Biden was standing next to his wife, Jill.

Biden also made light of the fact that he would continue to attend Easter festivities at the White House for a while. ” I’ll’ll either be rolling eggs or, you know, pushing them out!” he remarked.

Biden has been threatening to go again for decades but has postponed making a decision until later. The Democrat admitted to MSNBC in October that he planned to run for reelection but had not yet done so because” a large range of rules kick in.”

The senator also stated at the time that Jill Biden supported another battle. He said,” My wife thinks that we’re’re doing something very important and that I shouldn’t leave it.”

Last year, Biden’s’s familiar friends informed Axios that the president might hold off on making a campaign announcement until July or even the crash.

As the country gets ready for the chief season, competitors are already lining up. Marianne Williamson, a self-help author who ran in 2020, is one of the Democrats seeking their party’s’s nomination. Last year, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his candidacy.

Former president Donald Trump, who is facing numerous criminal investigations, is running for reelection on the Democratic side, potentially challenging Biden in the 2020 general election. Previous Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, Vivek Ramaswamy, former South Carolina Governor and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, and others have entered the GOP nomination competition for 2024. Former Vice President Mike Pence and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are two additional candidates who are anticipated to enter the race.

In the past, Biden claimed that if he ran for re-election in 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris would be his running mate. Biden, who is already the oldest president at 80, may be 86 years old at the end of a single term.
