Thursday’s classified documents found in Joe Biden’s Delaware home by his vice president were replied to by the President of the United States, Joe Biden. They were located in a locked garage right next to his Corvette.
Richard Sauber, president’s special counsel, stated in a statement, “all but one of these documents were found in storage space in the President’s Wilmington residence garage.”
Sauber said that another document was found. “discovered among stored materials in an adjacent room.”
At a Thursday press conference, Peter Doocy, Fox News White House correspondent, pressed Biden on the subject.
“Classified material next to your Corvette?” Doocy was asked. “What were you thinking?”
“Let me, I’m going to get a chance to speak on all this, God willing soon, but as I said earlier this week, people and, by the way my Corvette’s in a locked garage, OK?” Biden responded. “So it’s not like they’re sitting out in the street.”
Biden answered Doocy’s question about whether the classified documents were kept in a locked garage. “Yes, as well as my Corvette.”
“But as I said earlier this week, people know, I take classified documents and classified material seriously,” Biden said. “I also said we’re cooperating fully and completely with the Justice Department’s review.”
“As part of that process, my lawyer has reviewed other places where documents from my time as vice president were stored and they finished the review last night,” Biden continued. “They discovered a small number of documents with classified markings in storage areas, and file cabinets in my home and in my personal library.”
Biden stated that the Department of Justice was immediately contacted as was the case for the first set of documents at Penn Biden Center. The documents were quickly turned around.
To summarize, we’ve gone from:
– Biden declaring how careful he is with classified information
– To “whoops!”
– To “But muh Corvette was locked, man!”
