During his speech at the Philly Shipyard, President Biden acknowledged⁤ the⁢ heat wave affecting Bucks County and the rest ⁢of the nation. ‌He ⁤used this opportunity to address the issue ‍of⁢ global warming, stating‍ that the historically high temperatures disprove any denial of its existence.

The ‌majority of Biden’s remarks focused on his Bidenomics agenda. He highlighted the declining inflation rate, low⁣ unemployment, and his ⁢commitment to bringing back manufacturing and union jobs while promoting green energy.

“I got‍ tired of trickle-down economics,” declared the president. “Our plan is working, Bidenomics.”

In addition to his speech, President Biden participated in a “steel-cutting” ⁤ceremony for the Arcadia, a vessel designed to support offshore wind farms. He emphasized that all components of the Arcadia, ⁤including the rocks placed at the underwater bases of wind turbines,‍ will be manufactured in the United States.

“I’m not here to declare victory. We still‍ have a long way to go on the⁢ economy. But I want to emphasize that we have a plan that’s making a quick turnaround,” he concluded. “Bidenomics is about restoring the American Dream. For too long, this⁣ dream⁢ has been limited ‍to‌ the privileged few, but⁣ I⁤ believe that every hardworking American should have the opportunity to find a job, regardless ⁣of their location, and provide for their families.”

Biden officials, both⁢ at the White House and⁣ his 2024 reelection campaign, remain confident that the president’s economic polling⁤ does not fully reflect the support for‍ his platform.

Some ⁤White House officials believe that negative ⁤polling results may be influenced by‌ Republican respondents who tend to criticize⁤ the economy unless a‌ Republican is in ‌office.

Earlier on Thursday, White House principal deputy press secretary ⁤Olivia Dalton defended Biden’s policies, stating that they have received favorable views from the American people. She specifically mentioned the‍ bipartisan infrastructure law,‍ the Inflation Reduction Act, and the Chips and Science Act as important accomplishments with broad support.
