Biden explains absence in East Palestine: ‘Busy with many matters’
President Joe Biden Too Busy to Visit East Palestine, Ohio
During a press conference in Florida on Saturday, President Joe Biden addressed the question of why he hasn’t visited East Palestine, Ohio, as promised. A reporter asked him about his previous statement in March regarding the visit.
Biden responded, ”Well, I haven’t had the occasion to go to East Palestine. There’s a lot going on here, and I just haven’t been able to break away.”
He further explained, “I was considering going to East Palestine this week, but then I was reminded of my upcoming trips around the world. From Washington to India to Vietnam, it’s going to be a while.”
However, Biden assured that the needs of East Palestine are being taken care of. “We’re making sure that East Palestine has what they need materially to deal with their problems,” he added.

Political commentator Stephen L. Miller sarcastically responded, “I would go to Ohio, but I have to check on India and Vietnam first, so it’s going to be a while, even though I just said I was thinking of going this week after 8 months and 23 days on the beach and dementia.”
RNC Strategic Communications Director Tommy Pigott criticized Biden’s vacation time, stating, “Joe Biden has spent 75 days on vacation in the last 6 months, including 19 days in August alone.”
Political commentator Pradheep J. Shanker expressed frustration, saying, “What an absolute garbage answer. East Palestine is a 1-hour flight from DC. You could drive it in five hours. He has made the conscious choice to avoid the people of East Palestine, and there is a clear reason for this: because at this point, they know he is a liar.”
