Biden, “lift your [COVID] restrictions and let [Djokovic] compete.”

When Karine Jean-Pierre, White House Press Secretary, was asked whether President Biden would allow Novak Djokovic the opportunity to play in the Miami Open, Jean-Pierre seemed to avoid answering questions.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, (R-Fla.), stated Wednesday in a press conference the ban on unvaccinated foreign travelers to the United States must be lifted. According to reports, the Serbian tennis legend refused to get the mRNA vaccination.
“I was never against vaccination,” According to the BBC, the tennis star spoke out. He confirmed that he’d had taken vaccines as a child, “but I’ve always supported the freedom to choose what you put in your body.”
DeSantis asked President Obama to respond via Twitter “lift your restrictions and let [Djokovic] compete.”
DeSantis continued to criticize White House, saying that the Biden administration must be in line with current COVID-19 data.
“People get infected anyways… He [Djokovic] poses zero risk to the United States, zero risk to the state of Florida, and zero risk to Miami,” DeSantis.
When reporters asked for a response regarding the Florida Governor’s calls to allow Djokovic to compete in the Miami Open tennis tournament, Jean-Pierre referred reporters to the CDC.
“From Biden, “lift your [COVID] restrictions and let [Djokovic] compete.””
