At the Justice Department’s’s Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony on Tuesday, civil rights main Kristen Clarke, who in university hung out with at least two anti-Semitic scientists, spoke.

The Holocaust’s’s severity of the death of six million Jews and the lessons it teaches about ongoing crimes in” Ukraine, Ethiopia, the Congo, and somewhere around the world” were topics Clarke discussed in her statement. She alluded to a boost in anti-Semitism in the US before turning to hatred of crimes against some racial and ethnic groups.

” Attacks against black people— the most targeted group— and against other marginalized communities are on the rise ,” she claimed.

Clarke might not be the best person to speak on behalf of the Justice Department when it comes to the Holocaust. Clarke hung out with black release activists who held anti-Semitic views while they were in college. As the leader of Harvard’s’s Black Students Association in 1994, Clarke gave a speech in support of Wellesley doctor Tony Martin, who promoted the erroneous theory that the Washington Free Beacon had organized the global slave industry.

After the incident, Clarke defended Martin, calling him” an intelligent, well-versed Black intellectual who bases his information of[ sic ] unquestionable fact.”

Martin presented a paper titled” Tactics of Organized Jewry in Suppressing Free Speech” at the Institute for Historical Review meeting in 2002.

Along with Amiri Baraka, a dark liberal poet who once accused Jews of being responsible for September 11, Clarke served on the editorial table of an academic journal. When Clarke told Sen. Mike Lee( R., Utah) in 2021 that she had never served on” the editorial staff of a journal with Amiri Baraka ,” she was hiding her relationship with the baraka during her Senate confirmation hearing.

Many left-wing Jewish organizations defended Clarke from accusations of anti-Semitism during her verification hearing. In a party-line vote, she was just confirmed to the legal rights position.
