Biden Pardons Six Persons, including Woman Convicted of Killing Husband

President Joe Biden Six people who had served their sentences for the crimes they committed were pardoned Friday.

End-of-the year pardons were granted to those convicted of murder or drug-related offenses.

Beverly Ann Ibn Tamas, 80, was convicted in second degree murder for having armed herself to kill her husband. She was 33 years old at the time. Ibn-Tamas was also pregnant at the time of the murder and testified that her husband threatened and beat her before she killed him.

Ibn-Tamas became later the Director of Nursing in an Ohio-based healthcare organization, where she continues her work today.

Gary Parks Davis, age 66, pleaded guilty at 22 to the use a communication system (a telephone) for illegally facilitating a cocaine transaction. According to the statement, Davis spent six months in county jail. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree and own a landscaping company.

Edward Lincoln De Coito III, age 50, was granted pardon for a marijuana trafficking conspiracies charge that he had been convicted of when he turned 23. He served a year-and-a-half in prison and then worked as an electrician. He is a U.S. Army vet.

Vincente Ray Flores (37), was convicted for using ecstasy while serving in the army. He was sentenced and served the rest of his sentence. He returned to active service and won many awards.

Charlie Byrnes Jackson, now 77, pleaded guilty in a single case of possession and sale distilled spirits without tax stamps. This was when he turned 18 years old. He is an active member in his church and has a history of helping those in need.

John Dix Nock III (72), pleaded guilty to one count each of renting and making available for use as an owner of a facility for manufacturing marijuana plants. He runs a general contracting business and mentors young men.
