Joe Biden gave an update on his administration’s COVID-19 response. While speaking from the White House Thursday, Biden said his COVID-19 policies “should not divide us” while this is all about stopping the spread.

Biden has faced widespread scrutiny for his strict policies regarding COVID-19, including a vaccine mandate for private businesses with more than 100 workers. He also touted vaccines for children ages five-to-11, adding the FDA and CDC are expected to make a determination on that in the coming weeks.

“If authorized, we are ready,” Biden stated. “We have purchased enough vaccines for all children between the ages of five and 11 in the United States, and it will be convenient for parents to their children vaccinated at trusted locations and families will be able to sleep easier at night knowing their kids are protected as well.”

Meanwhile, data shows children are far less likely to contract or have severe complications from COVID-19. Biden also continued his habit of refusing to take questions from reporters.
