The Department of Justice Reveals Charges Against Whistleblower Targeting the Biden Family

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has recently announced charges against a whistleblower who claims to be on the run due to the sensitive information he possesses about the Biden family. According to the DOJ, this individual is not only an arms trafficker but has also acted as a middleman for banned Iranian oil deals and is allegedly connected to the Chinese Communist government.

Last week, energy security analyst Gal Luft released a video in which he detailed his meeting with Justice Department officials in Brussels back in March 2019. Since skipping bail in Cyprus to avoid extradition to the United States, he has been listed as “missing.”

On Monday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York unsealed the indictment against Luft, which led to his arrest. The charges include willful failure to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, arms trafficking, Iranian sanctions violations, and making false statements to federal agents.

In the DOJ news release, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams stated that Luft had “subverted foreign agent registration laws in the United States to seek to promote Chinese policies by acting through a former high-ranking U.S. Government official.” The indictment also accuses Luft of brokering arms deals that facilitated the sale of weapons to Libya, Kenya, and the United Arab Emirates.

If convicted, Luft could face a maximum sentence of 100 years in prison. In his video, Luft claimed that he informed investigators about Hunter Biden’s involvement with a senior retired FBI official and his role in dealings with the Chinese energy company CEFC. He also alleged that the FBI knew about these deals before obtaining Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Luft believes that his testimony has made him a target, stating that he and his associates have faced harassment and intimidation over the past four years. He argues that the charges against him demonstrate the government’s willingness to weaponize the justice system against whistleblowers.
