Biden Dodges Question About Classified Docs Found at His Think Tank

President Biden on Monday refused to answer questions about the classified documents that were found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, D.C.

On Nov. 2, his personal lawyers discovered records from Biden’s tenure as vice president. These records were included in a compiled bibliography. “small number of documents with classified markings,” The White House stated. The documents were immediately taken into the National Archives, who received notification the next day.

“The documents were not the subject of any previous request or inquiry by the Archives,” Richard Sauber, White House Special Counsel, stated in a statement. “Since that discovery, the President’s personal attorneys have cooperated with the Archives and the Department of Justice in process to ensure that any Obama-Biden Administration records are appropriately in the possession of the Archives.” 

Attorney General Merrick Garland John Lausch, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, was given the responsibility of reviewing the records.

Biden did not respond to reporters when they asked him about his reaction.
