President Joe Biden Denies Involvement in Son’s Alleged Shakedown of Chinese Businessman

President Joe Biden vehemently denied any participation in his son’s alleged shakedown of a Chinese businessman, as revealed in a 2017 WhatsApp message.

During a press conference at the White House on Wednesday, reporters confronted Biden about the WhatsApp message, which was brought to light by IRS whistleblowers investigating his son’s tax affairs. Despite mounting evidence, the president has chosen to remain tight-lipped about his alleged connection to his son’s dealings with foreign agents.

One reporter directly asked Biden, “How involved were you in your son’s Chinese shake-down text message? Were you sitting there? Were you involved?”

Biden responded with a firm denial, stating, “No, I wasn’t.”

However, this is not the first time Biden has made such claims. In response to another reporter’s question on Monday, he reiterated his previous statement that he has never discussed business matters with his son. Nevertheless, a statement from the White House counsel’s office, released last week, seemed to hedge the president’s stance.

“As we have said many times before, the President was not in business with his son,” said Ian Sams, spokesman for the White House counsel’s office.

Despite these claims, doubts have persisted regarding the president’s involvement in his son Hunter’s business affairs. Last year, a voicemail left by Joe Biden for his son suggested that they had discussed Hunter’s business dealings in 2018, as reported by The New York Times.

The alleged WhatsApp message, revealed by IRS agents during their testimony to the House, has further complicated matters. The agents claim that the message, sent by Hunter Biden to Chinese energy company CEFC executive Henry Zhao on July 30, 2017, stated, “I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight.”

Interestingly, less than ten days after the alleged message was sent, CEFC-associated accounts transferred over $5 million to accounts linked to Hunter Biden.

The IRS whistleblower testimony has caused a stir on Capitol Hill, with discussions of potential impeachment proceedings targeting Attorney General Merrick Garland for alleged interference in the Hunter Biden investigation, as well as President Biden himself.
