Colin Kahl, President Joe Biden’s nominee for undersecretary of defense for policy, has a history of incendiary tweets aimed at Republican lawmakers, including one post that called the GOP “the party of ethnic cleansing.”

During Kahl’s nomination hearing on Thursday, Sen. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) said the nominee’s remarks demonstrate he is unfit “to sit in the Pentagon and make decisions about life and death.”
