Troubling sight for Biden campaign in Ohio.
Bad News for Biden Campaign Spotted Rolling Down the Road in Ohio
The man who received a staggering 81 million votes in the 2020 presidential election may soon face yet another internal challenger. Talk about a surprise!
It seems that Democratic Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota is gearing up to enter the 2024 presidential race against incumbent Joe Biden.
On Tuesday, Jason DeRusha of WCCO in Minnesota took to social media to share a photo and a brief video of a “Dean Phillips for President” bus cruising down an Ohio highway.
DeRusha also pointed out that the bus displayed campaign slogans, including “Make America Affordable Again.”

According to WCCO, Phillips is expected to announce his candidacy on Friday in New Hampshire. If he does, he will just beat the state’s primary filing deadline, which is also set for Friday.
Phillips’ decision to run for president doesn’t come as a surprise.
Earlier this month, he announced his resignation from both the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee and the Democratic Caucus leadership, signaling a potential challenge to the president.
In August, Phillips even suggested that Biden should step aside for the good of the country. During an interview, he mentioned possible replacements from the party’s gubernatorial ranks, such as Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan and Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania.
However, readers should not mistake Phillips for a man of principle. His objections to Biden stem solely from the president’s age and declining popularity.
In reality, the Minnesota congressman exhibits all the characteristics of a weak candidate who excels at insincere flattery.
“I’m representing what I believe to be the majority of the country that wants to turn the page, tired of the meanness and the fear-mongering of Donald Trump, would like to see Joe Biden, a wonderful and remarkable man, pass the torch, cement this extraordinary legacy,” Phillips told Todd.
Nevertheless, even a lackluster candidate like Phillips can pose challenges for the president’s campaign.
For one, Phillips’ candidacy alone will remind Democrats of their concerns about age and low approval ratings when it comes to renominating Biden.
Furthermore, the president already faces multiple challenges, both from the political left and from within his own party.
Just this month, Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. decided to campaign as an independent, and leftist activist Cornel West has also launched a presidential bid. Recent polls indicate that former President Donald Trump would have an advantage in a four-way race against Biden, RFK Jr., and West.
Meanwhile, author Marianne Williamson has garnered up to 11 percent support in recent Democratic primary polls.
Therefore, Phillips’ expected candidacy is yet another indication of Democratic voters’ dissatisfaction with the president.
