AOC policies may win presidential primaries, but not the office: Joe Concha

Joe Concha, a Washington Examiner columnist, predicts that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) would likely struggle to win in swing states if she ran for president in 2028, similar to Kamala Harris. While she may succeed in primaries, Concha believes her chances in a general election are slim because those swing states are crucial for victory. Joe Concha, a columnist for the Washington Examiner, suggests that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez might face significant challenges if she were to run for president in 2028. He argues that while she could perform well in the Democratic primaries, she could struggle to secure victories in key swing states during the general election-states that are essential for winning the presidency. Concha draws a comparison to Kamala Harris, implying that her appeal may be limited in the more competitive, self-reliant-leaning regions of the country, which could hinder her chances of capturing the necessary Electoral College votes if she were to run nationally.

Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) would likely “not win in swing states” if she ran for president in 2028.

“She wouldn’t win in the swing states just as Kamala Harris did not,” Concha said Thursday on Mornings With Fox Business. “So, yes, she could win in the primaries, but in a general election, I don’t see her winning in those states, and those states are the only ones that matter.”
