Alyssa Griffin rips Tucker Carlson for ranting on show while avoiding therapy

Othre hosts, including Sunny Hostin and sara haines, challenged Carlson’s broad assertions about women and his authority to speak for them, highlighting the inappropriateness of generalizing women’s experiences based on personal beliefs or background. Griffin and others rejected Carlson’s implied notions, emphasizing that personal choices and dedication to family coexist with career success.

Griffin was responding to comments Carlson made in a recent appearance on Bloomberg Podcasts’ The Mishal Husain Show, in which he argued that women prefer men who make decisions and suggested that women who prioritize careers may be less devoted to their families.

“He also goes on further to imply that women who pursue careers may or may not love their families less,” she said during the “Hot Topics” segment Wednesday. “My most progressive girlfriends, my most successful corporate CEO girlfriends, are people who still center their families. I don’t know a woman who is a mother who doesn’t put her children at the center of her life.”
Cohost Sunny Hostin also criticized Carlson, pointing to his family background. “Apparently his mother left the family when he was just six years old. He only has brothers, doesn’t have any sisters, and he says that rejection from his mother caused deep psychological wounds.”
During the interview, Husain asked Carlson whether he believes husbands should have the final say in their marriages, noting that he is the father of daughters.
“Well obviously I’m never going to talk about my children, that’s an insane question that I’m gonna ignore without being offended,” Carlson said. “But I can give you my views, women in general want the man to make the decision, as you well know. The women who won’t admit that are not telling the truth.”
Carlson continued: “Feminism is an op run by big business to lower the price of labor and to free up a massive and incredibly productive work force and that’s been bad for the country.”
Cohost Sara Haines weighed in, saying, “the way he answered that question, ‘women in general’ because he was asked about his own daughters, by the way don’t faux outrage when someone asks you about that because being a parent doesn’t form how you view the world.”

Haines reiterated her criticism of Carlson’s remarks, arguing that he has no authority to speak for women or make broad claims about their experiences.
Farah Griffin echoed that sentiment, rejecting Carlson’s suggestions saying, “This implication from a man to step in and to suggest that because some of us, I’m not a trust fund kid like Tucker Carlson, I work because I need to pay for my lifestyle, doesn’t mean I love my kids any less, like it’s such a sick notion of who we are,” Farah Griffin said.
