However, Future Motion has advised users of Onewheel GT, Onewheel Pint ⁤X, Onewheel Pint, and Onewheel+ XR models to download or update their Onewheel app to ensure it has ⁣the “haptic buzz”‍ alert ⁤function.

The Onewheel (original) and Onewheel+ models are ‌not eligible for this update ⁣and should‌ not be used. Owners of these models can receive a $100 credit towards the ‌purchase of a new one.

“Haptic buzz is designed to work in conjunction with the existing pushback safety feature to help riders recognize when the⁤ board’s ability to balance may soon be ⁣exceeded, allowing them to lean back and slow down to avoid ​crashing,” stated Future Motion in a statement.

The recalled skateboards were sold‌ online and⁢ at independent shops‌ nationwide⁢ from January 2014 to September 2023, with prices ranging from $1,050 to $2,200.
