All NYPD Officers Ordered to Patrol in Uniform Following Trump Indictment

The New York Police Department has instructed all officers to wear their uniforms and to prepare for mobilization, following news that the Manhattan grand jury has issued an indictment of former President, Donald Trump. The announcement was made via internal NYPD memo on Thursday.

The memo, as reported by PIX11, stated that all officers should perform their duties in uniform, regardless of their rank. They were also instructed to prepare for mobilization, beginning Friday. Although no credible threats have been reported, the NYPD and other law enforcement agencies have been on high alert since the possibility of an indictment was first announced last week. In response to the news, the NYPD erected barricades around the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse.

The Mayor’s spokesperson, in a statement, confirmed that there are currently no known credible threats to the city. They added that Mayor Eric Adams is in constant contact with Commissioner Sewell and that the NYPD is monitoring all activity.

Following the grand jury’s vote to indict the former President over alleged payments made to porn star, Stormy Daniels, Trump released a statement calling Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg a “disgrace”. He also labeled the indictment “political persecution and election interference”.

The indictment against Trump remains sealed, and the actual charges are yet to be revealed. This is the first time a criminal case has been brought against a former US President. A spokesperson for Bragg’s office confirmed that they have contacted Trump’s attorney to coordinate his surrender.

Following the announcement of the indictment, police barricades were erected outside of Bragg’s office, and security escorted Soros-backed district attorney, Alvin Bragg, who pledged during his campaign to prosecute Trump, from the building to a vehicle.
