Air France flight bound for Detroit diverted due to Ebola restrictions

An Air France flight from abroad to Detroit was diverted to Montreal after a passenger who came from the Democratic Republic of Congo boarded the plane during an ongoing ebola outbreak. U.S. Customs and Border Protection said the passenger should not have gotten on the aircraft and that it is working with the CDC to prevent Ebola from being introduced into the United States. The incident follows recent CDC travel restrictions intended to lower Ebola risk as the outbreak expands into parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.
