Air Force One will keep blue and white design, Biden decides

Friday night, the Air Force stated The new light blue 747s to transport the president will be darker and more modern-looking than the robin’s egg blue used on the existing versions.

Boeing will modify two of its 747-800 planes that will use the Air Force One calling sign when the president is aboard. They will replace two of the Boeing 747-200 aircraft that the president currently uses.

The administration made an earlier decision regarding the colors for the exterior of the plane. Donald Trump’s favorite red-white-and blue design can be scrappedBiden’s immediate predecessor. According to an Air Force review, the use of darker colors could increase costs and delay delivery on the new jumbo aircraft.

Trump ordered that the jets be redesigned from the Kennedy-era blue and white design to a white-and navy scheme in 2018. The top half would have had white while the bottom and belly would have been dark. From the cockpit to its tail, there would have been a dark streak of red. The color was almost identical with Trump’s personal plane.

The VC-25B is the name of the new aircraft.
