ABC Lobbies James Comer to Investigate Trump Family

Former Clinton hatchetman and current co-anchor of ABC’s This Week George Stephanopoulos showed how chronic his Trump derangement syndrome is during an interview when House Republican oversight chairman James Comer brought up his committee’s intention to investigate Hunter Biden and the entire Biden family’s business dealings overseas. Stephanopoulos was unable to do anything but try to bring up Trump’s family and a leftist hit piece. The Washington Post. 

“Let me ask you about your oversight responsibilities,” Stephanopoulos started by saying. “You made it clear you are going to be looking at Hunter Biden,and his financial entanglements with foreign countries including China.”

He put up a frontpage story starting from The Washington Post that was in Sunday’s paper titled “After helping prince’s rise, Trump and Kushner benefit from Saudi funds.”

“A two billion dollar investment in Kushner’s funds from the Saudi’s we know the President–former President Trump has also received funds related to the Saudi golf tour,” He added.

Stephanopoulos then questioned Comer about the since. “Senator Ron Wyden says these entanglements deserve investigation. Will you be investigating that as well?” 

“I think everything’s on the table,” Comer insisted. 

“We’re investigating Joe Biden. We know that Joe Biden said during the presidential campaign that he had no knowledge of his son’s business interests. He wasn’t involved. He didn’t benefit from them. We have evidence that would suggest otherwise, and this is very concerning,” He added. 

Comer was very rational in his solutions. He said that “there’s a legislative solution to this, and it can be bipartisan. The Democrats complained about Kushner’s foreign dealings. Republicans are certainly complaining about the entire Biden family’s foreign business dealings.”

“We need to have strict ethics laws and we need to significantly increase the disclosure laws in America,” Comer admitted “So I think this investigation is going to be very important to fix a problem before it gets out of hand.” 

That answer wasn’t good enough for the Democrat operative disguised as a network news anchor, Stephanopoulos demanded to know if “this should apply to Kushner and Trump as well as the Bidens at this point?”

“I believe that when we talk about passing legislation to set a line as to where you can be with relatives of high-ranking government officials with respect to doing business with adversaries overseas, then it would apply to everyone. We need to fix this before it gets worse in the next administration,” Comer was contacted. 

Once a Democrat Party operative. Always a Democrat Party operative. Stephanopoulos shouldn’t be regarded as a fair and balanced host. Republicans need to be careful when they continue.

JAMES COMER, I believe everything is on the table. Look. We’re investigating Joe Biden. We know that Joe Biden stated during the presidential campaign that no one knew anything about his son’s business interests. He wasn’t involved. He did not benefit. This is alarming, as we have evidence to support it.

COMER: This can be solved legislatively and it is possible to be bipartisan. Kushner’s international dealings were the subject of complaints from Democrats. Republicans are expressing concern about the foreign business dealings of the entire Biden family. It is important to understand what is permissible and what is not. We must have clear ethics laws. And we need to dramatically increase disclosure laws in America. This investigation will be crucial to resolve a problem before it becomes serious. 

STEPHANOPOULOS : To be clear, you believe this should apply to Kushner as well as Trump at this point. 

COMER: If we are going to pass legislation to establish a boundary as to who can be with relatives of high ranking government officials regarding doing business with adversaries abroad, it should be applicable to all. This must be fixed before the next administration does.
