Crenshaw said President Donald Trump’s approach has been to “at least try every other option first” and talk diplomacy rather than attacks, which hasn’t worked because “the Iranians are highly irrational.” 

“What we could be on the lookout for is what the plan might be if all of those guys [Iran’s leaders] are gone or fleeing, which is an outcome that is very much a real outcome, a possibility,” Crenshaw said on Fox Business’s Mornings with Maria Bartiromo.

Crenshaw said the U.S. is more Iran’s enemy than Israel, adding that Trump supports much of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s foreign policy.

“What people have to understand is it has not been the United States standing in the way between Iran and Israel, it’s been Israel standing in the way between Iran and the United States,” Crenshaw said.

He believes the attacks will happen in waves and are not close to being over.

“They’re not done yet, they’re still launching missiles, so they haven’t gotten missiles to all of the sights yet. This was not a mission that was intended to last just a few days, I think they intend to last longer until the job is done,” Crenshaw said. 

When asked which countries might be supporting Iran, Crenshaw said there are those who “wave whatever flag is popular that day,” and Russia, China, and other U.S. enemies are the typical supporters of such regimes.
