According to Governor Kathy Hochul, Alkhader is a New York state resident and a U.S. citizen born in Iraq. Newsweek reported that he resides in Schenectady, New York. The Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco & Explosives task force revealed that Alkhader mentioned being impacted by events in the Middle East. Governor Hochul also mentioned that Alkhader has a criminal record.
