Obama aide harasses NY street vendor for 2 weeks

Former Obama Aide Caught Harassing Street Vendor in New York City

A shocking video has emerged showing a former member of President Barack Obama’s ⁤Department of State engaging in an anti-Islamic rant directed at a street vendor ‍in New York City. ⁣The video, which quickly went viral, has already had serious consequences for the individual involved.

The man in question is Stuart Seldowitz, who served as⁤ deputy director/senior political officer in the Office of Israel and Palestinian Affairs from 1999 to 2003. According to City and State New York, Seldowitz was identified as‍ the smirking man seen in ‌the video harassing a halal seller on the Upper East Side of the city.

Seldowitz, a Democrat, has⁣ more or ⁢less admitted that he is ‍the person in the video. When asked about it, he stated, “I did have an argument with a food vendor. It is quite ⁤possible that it’s me. I mean, I’ve not seen the video, but⁣ I believe it’s probably me.”

He also ⁤acknowledged ⁤that attacking the‍ vendor’s religion was a mistake, saying,‌ “If ‌I had to do it all over again, I would not have raised the ‌religious aspect.”

Multiple videos have surfaced showing Seldowitz engaging in similar behavior⁢ on different occasions. It appears that this‍ argument with the vendor was an ongoing⁢ issue, resulting in repeated confrontations that lasted for approximately two weeks.

In one clip, Seldowitz can be heard asking the halal seller,‍ “Did you rape‍ your daughter like Mohammed‍ did?” In another, he ⁤asks, “You support killing young children?” He also questions the vendor about having a seller’s license and makes the disturbing statement, ⁢”If we killed 4,000 Palestinian kids, you know what? It wasn’t enough.”

Seldowitz was affiliated with the lobbying firm Gotham Government Relations as the group’s Foreign Affairs Chair. ⁤However, the firm ⁤has since cut ties with him, stating, “The video of his actions is vile, racist, and beneath the dignity of the standards⁣ we practice at our firm.”

David Schwartz, the founder and president ⁢of Gotham Government Relations, expressed his outrage and even⁢ offered to represent the vendor against Seldowitz ⁢in a lawsuit.

Seldowitz claims that he hasn’t worked with Gotham for a long time and was surprised ⁤by their statement.‍ He denies ⁣being Islamophobic and regrets his actions, admitting that he said things⁤ he‍ shouldn’t have‌ in the heat of the moment.

New York Mayor Eric Adams and ⁣Governor Kathy Hochul also condemned Seldowitz’s behavior on social media, emphasizing that Islamophobia ⁤has no place in the⁤ city.
