Investors in Sound of Freedom Film Earn 120% Return on Investment
Angel Studios, the distributor of Sound of Freedom, has announced that investors in the film have received an impressive 120% return on their investment, thanks to the film’s incredible success at the box office.
The budget for prints and advertising marketing for Sound of Freedom was made possible through Angel Studios’s innovative crowdfunding model. A remarkable 6,678 individuals, known as the Angel Guild, contributed towards the film’s launch.
Angel Studios CEO Neal Harmon Delighted with Quick Payout
Speaking to the Washington Examiner, Angel Studios CEO Neal Harmon expressed his excitement about the swift payout to investors who supported Sound of Freedom earlier this year. Harmon revealed that these investors have received $1.20 for every $1 they invested.
“We are thrilled to be able to get funds back to them in three months,” Harmon said. “The Angel Guild is key to our theatrical strategy, and paying out as quickly as possible is always our first priority.”
The film, which was released in theaters on July 4, tells the gripping true story of former federal agent Tim Ballard. Ballard risked his life by leaving his Department of Homeland Security job to embark on a dangerous journey into the jungles of Colombia, rescuing children from the horrors of sex slavery.
Sound of Freedom is currently being screened internationally and is set to launch in 21 countries before September 1. Angel Studios has set an ambitious goal of reaching a total of 75 countries.
To date, the film has grossed an impressive $175 million, surpassing the latest Indiana Jones movie over the weekend.
