Dem Congressman Turns on Biden Family, Says It ‘Clear’ Hunter Broke the Law and Must Be Held Accountable
In a surprising twist, a Connecticut Democrat is now speaking out against Hunter Biden, suggesting that if he has committed crimes, he should face the consequences. Rep. Jim Himes used Hunter Biden as a way to criticize Republicans, but in doing so, he also revealed that he is not blindly defending Hunter’s actions.
“Let me say something that you never heard a Republican member of Congress say in the four years of the Trump administration, which is that if Hunter Biden broke the law, he should be prosecuted,” Himes said on MSNBC. “And it is clear that he broke the law with respect to taxes and possibly the ownership of a handgun. He should be held accountable for that.”
While Himes attempted to shift the blame onto Republicans for not criticizing former President Donald Trump enough, he also acknowledged that Hunter is not exempt from the law.
“If he traded on his father’s influence, he should be held accountable for that. And I’m emphasizing this because you never, ever heard a Republican say the same thing about Donald Trump or his family,” Himes continued.
Himes did mention that there is currently no evidence of President Joe Biden’s involvement in Hunter’s actions, but he emphasized the importance of thoroughly examining all evidence.
“Now, to the question about impeachment, there is today zero evidence, zero evidence that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, knew about what his son was doing. If, if he did know about it, if he participated in that, then that is a very different conversation,” he exclaimed.
However, Himes seems to be overlooking the mounting evidence that suggests Joe Biden may have misled the public about his knowledge of Hunter’s questionable business dealings.
For example, whistleblower evidence presented in Congress revealed that Hunter had mentioned his father’s presence while soliciting money from a Chinese business associate. Additionally, photographic evidence showed that Hunter had access to his father’s garage where classified documents were stored, contradicting Joe Biden’s claim that Hunter was never there when the documents were present.
Furthermore, banking records indicate suspicious activities connected to the Bidens, including undeclared income. There is also a mysterious $10 million in income on Joe and Jill Biden’s tax returns from 2017, with an unclear source. Additionally, the Bidens have numerous shell corporations passing money to them, raising questions about their financial practices.
As the scrutiny on Hunter and the Biden family intensifies, Hunter’s plea deal for tax evasion and gun crimes was rejected by a Delaware court. The deal, which included minimal sentencing suggestions and blanket immunity for future prosecution, was deemed unacceptable by Judge Maryellen Noreika.
With these revelations, it appears that even Democrats are starting to feel uneasy about the potential consequences for the Biden family and the Democratic Party as the 2024 campaign season approaches. The cracks in their once-solid defense of the Bidens may have significant implications for the Biden administration.
