A 5-year-old female was shot and killed on a CA motorway, according to authorities.

A 5-year-old child was shot and killed on a freeway in the Bay Area on Saturday just before 7 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol( CHP ).
Two shootings, including one on Interstate 880, close to Dixon Landing Road, were reported in the area, according to the Santa Cruz Police Department( SCPD ).
The shooting, which took place at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday along northern Interstate 880 in Fremont while Eliyanah Crisostomo, 5, of Santa Clara and her family were traveling to Outback Steakhouse for a holiday dinner party, resulted in her death.
Eliyanah and her family were on their way to the hotel in Milpitas when a car pulled up next to them on I-880, and another outside suddenly began firing rounds. The second bullet struck Eliyanah, who reportedly passed away in 30 seconds later, according to those present.
At around 9:30 p.m., Santa Cruz Police stopped the car they believed was involved in the killings and detained three persons.
On April 9th, they released a statement about the event on Facebook.
” During the pursuit on Highway 17, officers saw the vehicle’s’s occupants throwing a piece from the motor. The vehicle did not yield. A quest was initiated. Santa Cruz authorities reported in the declaration that the suspect driver stopped a short range later.
The Scotts Valley Police Department K9 group afterwards discovered the gun that was thrown from the car and took it in as proof.
Fremont is where the three defendants are being held right now. According to a Milpitas council member with close ties to the law, the defendants in confinement may be involved in another shooting on Fremont Boulevard that occurred shortly before the brutal I-880 shooting.
Authorities think the taking on the motorway was probably gang-related.
The California Highway Patrol( CHP ), which is the leading agency in the investigation, previously stated that no suspects were in custody, despite the SCPD’s’s report on Monday that those who may be connected to the shooting have been detained.
Eliyanah had had turned six on April 21st, according to her family.
