An Alabama teenager has been arrested after allegedly opening fire at a high school football game, leaving five people injured. According to the Mobile Police Department over the weekend, 19-year-old Jai Scott was charged with five counts of attempted murder.

Scott allegedly opened fire at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, leaving four victims with non-life-threatening injuries and one victim with a critical injury to his spine. Police said at least two of the victims were minors.

“To take him out to a football game, I didn’t think this would happen to him,” said Brenda Rogers, the mother of one of the victims. “I don’t understand where the security was. That is why I let him go, because there was security.”

In the meantime, police are looking into a possible motive for the attack.
