Harrison Floyd Faces Jail Time in Georgia for Election Challenge
Harrison Floyd finds himself locked behind bars with no way to escape after voluntarily surrendering to face charges related to his involvement in helping former President Donald Trump challenge the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.
Floyd turned himself in to Fulton County authorities on Thursday, but unlike the other 19 defendants in the case, he was not granted a consent bond order that would allow him to make a plea and leave, as reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
On the day of his surrender, Floyd posted a video on social media showing him driving into Atlanta with the caption, “Lord Protect Me While Im in These Streets.”

Floyd is facing charges under the state’s RICO Act, including conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings, as well as influencing witnesses.
The indictment alleges that Floyd attempted to persuade election worker Ruby Freeman to falsely declare misconduct in the election.
The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office has not provided an explanation for why Floyd was not granted a consent bond order.

The Washington Post reported that Floyd was previously charged in May for an incident that occurred in February. He allegedly attacked an FBI agent who served him with a subpoena at his residence in Rockville, Maryland, on February 23.
Floyd was being served as part of special prosecutor Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump, according to the Post’s unnamed sources.
An affidavit claims that Floyd body-slammed one agent and verbally abused others who entered his residence.
According to the affidavit, Floyd later claimed that he was defending himself and that the agents did not provide proper identification.

The affidavit states that when agents attempted to serve the subpoena, Floyd responded by saying, “Bro I don’t even know who you are.” He further expressed his concern about two strangers following him into his house while his daughter was present.
“You’re not showing me a f***ing badge, you haven’t shown me s***. Get the f*** away from me,” Floyd allegedly told the agents, according to the affidavit.
After an agent tossed the subpoena through a doorway, Floyd reportedly charged at the agents, leading to a confrontation that only ended when one agent reached for his gun.
Floyd later called 911 and claimed that he was the one who had been threatened.
