Wynonna Judd Announces Throwback Tour Celebrating Her First Two Albums
Country singer Wynonna Judd has announced an exciting throwback tour, taking fans on a nostalgic journey through her first two albums. This tour holds a special significance for Judd, as she shares that music has been instrumental in her healing process following the tragic loss of her mother, Naomi, last year.
The 59-year-old artist took to Twitter to share the news about her “Back to Wy Tour,” which is set to kick off on October 26 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Judd expressed her excitement, stating, “Two words…NUH-STALGIA. I am thrilled to FINALLY announce that I’ll be hitting the road this fall, with the BACK TO WY Tour! We’re going to travel back to the 90’s, celebrating my start as a solo artist and performing my first TWO albums, ‘Wynonna’ and ‘Tell Me Why,’ top to bottom, back to back, in their entirety!”
She added, “This means we get to play the hits, the deep cuts, and everything in between. Getting to share this tour with the fans who have been with me for 40 years means the world to me. Deep diving into my first two solo albums, track by track, will be such a trip down memory lane.”

Judd reflected on the significance of these albums in her life, saying, “As I sit and listen to these two records, I’m flooded with the memories that surrounded that time in my life. The fans held me up and supported me through a season of change in 1992, and I now see ‘herstory’ repeating itself. This music healed me then, and is healing me now. The circle of life continues…”
If you’re eager to catch Judd on her throwback tour, make sure to sign up for presale tickets. General public ticket sales will begin this Friday. For more information, visit the official tour website.
This exciting announcement comes shortly after Judd revealed that an album titled “A Tribute to the Judds” will be released in October. The album features a star-studded lineup of performers paying homage to Judd and her late mother’s most beloved songs from their musical duo, “The Judds.”
Judd expressed her gratitude for the artists involved, stating, “To have all of these artists, most of which are my friends, come together and lend their voices and artistry to reimagine these songs, is so special.” The album will also serve as a tribute to Naomi Judd, with proceeds going to the National Alliance on Mental Illness in honor of her mother’s mental health battle and tragic suicide in April 2022.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a free hotline for individuals in crisis or distress or for those looking to help someone else. It is available 24/7 at 1-800-273-8255.
