In August, Rodgers told reporters that he had been \u201cimmunized\u201d when asked whether he had received the vaccine, causing the media to hammer Rodgers for \u201clying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, former All-Pro linebacker Takeo Spikes discussed how the Packers locker room may feel about the situation surrounding Rodgers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the news came out and you found out that he lied, I\u2019m like, \u2018Well, that\u2019s a level of arrogance along with privilege as well,\u2019\u201d Spikes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacy.com\/cbssportsradio\/sports\/nfl\/takeo-spikes-rips-nfl-for-aaron-rodgers-punishment\">said<\/a>&nbsp;Thursday on \u201cThe DA Show.\u201d \u201cIf he continues to do that and they continue to let him get away with it, then it\u2019s really like, \u2018Why should I complain because it\u2019s going to fall on deaf ears?\u2019 And I know there\u2019s been a lot of talk about Aaron Rodgers getting preferential treatment and all of that. Personally, I think it was wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust to come out and sit up there and lie in the beginning so you can take the heat off of yourself and take the heat and attention away off of a very serious matter \u2026 I thought that was real foul of Aaron Rodgers. And I\u2019m a big fan of his game, but that right there really got me looking at him sideways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spikes was asked about his thoughts on the \u201cslap on the wrist\u201d punishment handed down by the NFL, raising the question of whether certain players are treated differently by the league.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if I get fined, I\u2019m leading in with the Aaron Rodgers situation because I\u2019m going to show you the discrepancy in how you treat certain people,\u201d Spikes said. \u201cAnd until you give me a valid answer on Aaron Rodgers, then I\u2019m not willing to listen to what you got to say about my case. Learned not to lie. Because that\u2019s what you did, Aaron. You lied to everyone,\u201d Bradshaw said.Rodgers set off a firestorm last Friday when he explained his decision to remain unvaccinated on \u201cThe Pat McAfeee Show.\u201d\u201cFirst of all, I didn\u2019t lie in the initial press conference,\u201d Rodgers said. \u201cDuring that time, it was a witch hunt that was going on across the league where everybody in the media was so concerned about who was vaccinated and who wasn\u2019t and what that meant \u2026 And at the time, my plan was to say that I had been immunized. It wasn\u2019t some sort of ruse or lie. It was the truth.\u201dRodgers said that he learned that he has an allergy to an ingredient in the mRNA vaccines and that he was not comfortable taking the Johnson &#038; Johnson vaccine due to some people having bad reactions to the J&#038;J shot.He decided to go an alternative route and claimed that the NFL was aware of it. He petitioned the NFL to accept his immunization status and was denied.On Tuesday, Rodgers once again appeared on \u201cThe Pat McAfee Show,\u201d stating that he was ready to get back to playing football, but not before taking \u201cresponsibility\u201d for misleading fans.\u201cI acknowledge [I] am a role model to a lot of people,\u201d Rodgers said on the show. \u201cI made some comments that people might have felt were misleading.
