They have to trust that somebody that might sell their car in cash is going to report the sale and pay tax on that transaction. But so many of these transactions go unreported. And so there is a very material motivation for governments to be able to see, analyze, track, and tax every transaction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pandemic became a catalyst for \u201ccontactless transactions,\u201d as businesses increased the use of phone apps and direct credit card payments in order to limit physical interactions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a major push to make these things not only simple to use, but also in many cases required to use,\u201d Brown explained.<\/p>\n<p>However, this is \u201cjust the very first step\u201d in the <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.brownstoneresearch.com\/?cid=MKT515291&amp;eid=MKT589461\">Great Reset\u2019s<\/a> cashless society, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe next step is to move to a digital version of the U.S. dollar. Some people have referred to this as something like the Fed coin, where we use technologies \u2013 specifically blockchain technology \u2013 to create a digital version of the U.S. dollar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The government \u2013 and the IRS in particular \u2013 is \u201cdeeply motivated\u201d to create a <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.brownstoneresearch.com\/?cid=MKT515291&amp;eid=MKT589461\">Great Reset<\/a> cashless economy because such a system lets government officials \u201ctrack every single transaction,\u201d \u201csee how every dollar is spent,\u201d then \u201ctax every single transaction,\u201d Brown explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is an ultimate ability for a government to have centralized control over its monetary policy \u2013 &nbsp;how it\u2019s distributed and how it\u2019s taxed,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, obviously, people should be investing accordingly. And you have a lot of recommendations at <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.brownstoneresearch.com\/?cid=MKT515291&amp;eid=MKT589461\">JeffBrownReset.com<\/a>,\u201d Marlow noted.<\/p>\n<p>Marlow asked Brown to explain why he recommends investing in Bitcoin and the blockchain technology that powers cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin as a way to hedge against the <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.brownstoneresearch.com\/?cid=MKT515291&amp;eid=MKT589461\">Great Reset<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI first recommended Bitcoin back in 2015,\u201d Brown said. \u201cPeople that followed my advice back then could buy bitcoin at $240. And recently, it was trading at more than $64,000. That\u2019s more than a 26,000 percent return on investment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brown sees Bitcoin as a currency whose value can\u2019t be diluted by any government\u2019s inflationary policies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I liked about Bitcoin back then \u2013 and what I still like about it now \u2013 is that the monetary policy can\u2019t be abused,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s literally written into the code. It is a mathematical formula. There can only ever be 21 million Bitcoins ever produced. So we have a limited supply. And the monetary policy simply made sense to me, as did the technology as a store of value.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Digital assets like Bitcoin and other blockchain projects have become important vehicles for investment, Brown explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI tend to focus a lot on these disruptive companies that are positioning for what I believe will be an ultimate shift towards these digital processes and a much more digital way of life, which enables things to happen faster, less expensive, and in many cases a lot better than the way that we do things today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Marlow noted that some people are worried that they missed the Bitcoin and crypto \u201cGold Rush.\u201d But Brown said that the growth of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is only just beginning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are in still very early days of what I call the third generation of the internet,\u201d he said. \u201cBlockchain technology to me is literally the rebuilding, the reconstructing, the invention of the next generation of the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brown explained that the first generation of the internet was typified by the \u201cdecentralized\u201d large mainframe computers of the late 1970s and early 1980s that were scattered around the world with slow and limited links to one another. This was the era before the laptop and the home computer. No one party was in control of this \u201chighly decentralized\u201d first generation of the internet.<\/p>\n<p>But that all changed with the second generation of the internet, which saw a rapid shift towards monetization and \u201ccentralized controls,\u201d Brown said. Soon companies like Amazon, Google, and Facebook gained \u201can immense amount of power and influence over how the internet works, and they\u2019re the primary beneficiary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Companies like Facebook and Google in particular made fortunes \u201cby surveilling us, by collecting our data without our knowledge and selling it to advertisers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, the third generation of the internet \u2013 driven by blockchain technology \u2013 is set to reverse these centralized controls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe third generation of the internet is largely centered around blockchain technology and decentralizing the internet again, taking the power away from these companies that have been the primary beneficiaries over the years,\u201d Brown said.<\/p>\n<p>Brown believes it is not too late for ordinary investors to protect themselves from the <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.brownstoneresearch.com\/?cid=MKT515291&amp;eid=MKT589461\">Great Reset\u2019s<\/a> disruptions and benefit from this blockchain powered digital future by using tools like Brownstone Research\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.brownstoneresearch.com\/?cid=MKT515291&amp;eid=MKT589469\">Great Reset Protection Plan<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can assure you that we are really just in the first couple innings right now.
