Put another way, more than 2,300 legal immigrants were naturalized every day over the last Fiscal Year.<\/p>\n<p>Compare that to Fiscal Year 2020, when about 625,400 legal immigrants were naturalized. In Fiscal Year 2019, about 844,000 legal immigrants were naturalized and the year before then, in Fiscal Year 2018, nearly 762,000 were naturalized.<\/p>\n<p>The last time naturalization rates were this high was in Fiscal Year 2008 when more than a million legal immigrants became naturalized American citizens.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Demographic data for newly naturalized American citizens are not yet available, but data from prior years shows legal immigrants from Mexico dominate the naturalization process, as well as nationals from India, the Philippines, China, and Cuba.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, new analysis of U.S. Census Bureau figures from the Center for Immigration Studies finds that the nation\u2019s foreign-born population has grown to <a href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Camarota\/Monthly-Census-Bureau-Data-Shows-Big-Increase-ForeignBorn\">45.4 million<\/a> by the end of September \u2014 an increase of 1.6 million from the same time the year before.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18694290\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"32\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Screen-Shot-2021-11-10-at-5.04.12-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18694290\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Screen-Shot-2021-11-10-at-5.04.12-PM.png\" alt=\"CIS\" width=\"1920\" height=\"962\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>(Center for Immigration Studies)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Biden, in February, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/02\/02\/joe-biden-naturalization-rates-ahead-elections\/\">signed an<\/a> executive order to specifically increase naturalization rates through a series of federal agency measures by eliminating \u201cbarriers in and otherwise improve the existing naturalization process \u2026 [and] substantially reduce current naturalization processing times\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Data over the last few election cycles have repeatedly shown the impact of the growing foreign-born voting population in electing Democrats over Republicans. In 2020, about one-in-ten U.S. voters were&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/02\/20\/pew-research-1-in-10-u-s-voters-in-2020-election-will-be-foreign-born\/\">born<\/a>&nbsp;outside the country, the highest rate since 1970.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The Pew Research Center has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/10\/04\/pew-mass-immigration-drives-democrat-support-swing-states\/\">noted<\/a>, as well as a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/08\/25\/axios-growing-foreign-born-populations-expected-to-help-democrats\/\">number<\/a>&nbsp;of establishment media outlets, that these trends are aiding Democrats in their electoral prospects.<\/p>\n<p>A significant increase in naturalization rates ahead of the 2022 midterms and the 2024 presidential election could deliver big gains for Democrats as margins in a number of swing states have been small over the last two presidential elections.&nbsp;In Pennsylvania, for example, Biden won the state by less than 81,000 votes.<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/virginia-politics\/how-did-deeply-red-virginia-become-such-a-challenge-for-the-gop-in-a-single-decade\/2016\/08\/13\/36b2014e-5f21-11e6-9d2f-b1a3564181a1_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\"><em>Washington Post<\/em><\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/11\/10\/ny-times-tidal-wave-mass-immigration-hands-virginia-democrats\/\"><em>New York Times<\/em><\/a>, the&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/02\/07\/democrats-winning-90-congressional-districts-with-large-foreign-born-populations\/\">Atlantic<\/a><\/em>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/02\/06\/report-booming-foreign-born-population-handing-over-electoral-dominance-to-democrats\/\">Axios<\/a>, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/08\/07\/la-times-democrats-now-outnumber-republicans-in-orange-county-due-to-changing-demographics\/\"><em>Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a>, and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/01\/03\/wall-street-journal-demographic-shift-replace-trump-base\/\"><em>Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;have all admitted that rapid demographic changes because of immigration are tilting the nation toward a permanent Democrat dominance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe single biggest threat to Republicans\u2019 long-term viability is demographics,\u201d&nbsp;Axios&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/07\/21\/axios-not-single-demographic-trend-favors-republicans\/\">acknowledged<\/a>&nbsp;last year. \u201cThe numbers simply do not lie \u2026 there\u2019s not a single demographic megatrend that favors Republicans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Already, the U.S. has the most generous immigration system in the world \u2014&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/01\/29\/chain-migration-to-add-foreign-born-voting-population-double-the-size-of-annual-american-births-by-2038\/\">expected<\/a>&nbsp;to bring in 15 million new foreign-born voters by 2041. About&nbsp;eight million&nbsp;of those voters will have&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/01\/14\/chain-migration-expected-add-8m-potential-foreign-born-voters-electorate-two-decades\/\">arrived<\/a>&nbsp;entirely due to the process known as \u201cchain migration\u201d whereby newly naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>John Binder is a reporter for Breitbart News.
