In addition to Baldwin, who was a producer on the movie, Svetnoy is suing the production\u2019s armorer,&nbsp;Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, prop master Sarah Zachry, and assistant director Dave Halls.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CTqHsaLDxRM\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" readability=\"-0.28\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Svetnoy alleges&nbsp;the bullet that struck both Hutchins and director Joel Souza almost hit him \u2014 missing by \u201can inch or two, possibly less.\u201d He also claims he was one of the first people to tend to Halyna after she was shot, trying to keep her conscious.<\/p>\n<p>The suit states the scene in question required Baldwin to pull the .45 Colt Revolver from his holster and point it in the general direction of the camera. \u201cThe scene did not call for Defendant Baldwin to shoot the Colt, which should not have contained any live ammunition,\u201d the complaint alleges.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The gun allegedly went off as Baldwin was practicing his moves for the scene. The complaint describes it as \u201cthe loudest gunshot he [Svetnoy] has ever experienced on a movie set.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Svetnoy claims Baldwin failed to double-check the Colt Revolver with assistant director Halls to ensure that it did not contain live ammunition. He also alleges the prop master and armorer both failed to properly inspect the gun.<\/p>\n<p>Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer, has suggested someone put a live round in the gun.&nbsp;The Santa Fe district attorney who is leading the investigation, has reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7news.com\/rust-movie-sabotage-armorer-shooting\/11219976\/\">stated<\/a> there is no proof of foul play.&nbsp;DA Mary Carmack-Altwies told&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodmorningamerica.com\/culture\/video\/santa-fe-da-rust-investigation-proof-sabotage-81079930\">Good Morning America<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em>on Wednesday that she knows who loaded the live round into the gun.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/11\/04\/halyna-hutchins-husband-hires-law-firm-specializing-in-wrongful-death-suits\/\">reported<\/a>,&nbsp;Matthew Hutchins \u2014 the husband of the late Halyna Hutchins \u2014 has hired a Los Angeles law firm that specializes in wrongful death lawsuits.<\/p>\n<p>Alec Baldwin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/11\/08\/nolte-alec-baldwin-wants-police-officer-on-movie-and-tv-sets-to-monitor-real-and-fake-guns\/\">has called<\/a> for movie and TV productions to have a police officer on set to oversee the use of guns both real and fake.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Follow David Ng on Twitter&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HeyItsDavidNg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">@HeyItsDavidNg<\/a>.
