I don\u2019t want any problems. I just want to put out the fires, if there are any.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&nbsp;continued walking, and then I noticed the Duramax, I noticed the backseat of the&nbsp;Duramax, and I stepped towards the&nbsp;Duramax, and, as I\u2019m stepping forward, I believe his name is Joshua Ziminski, he steps towards me with a pistol,\u201d Rittenhouse said.<\/p>\n<p>At that point, Rittenhouse added that he took \u201ca step back,\u201d and then attempted to \u201cget out of that situation and go back north down&nbsp;Sheridan Road.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked to describe what happened next, Rittenhouse explained that he wasn\u2019t able to successfully leave without an altercation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce I take that step back, I look over my shoulder, and Mr.&nbsp;Rosenbaum \u2014&nbsp;Mr.&nbsp;Rosenbaum was not running from my right side, and I was cornered from in front of me with Mr.&nbsp;Ziminski, and there were\u2026\u201d Rittenhouse explained, but was unable to finish his sentence, as he began to break down in tears.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThere were people right there \u2014 that\u2019s when I run,\u201d Rittenhouse added, but again, was unable to finish his sentence.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_18686026\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" readability=\"43\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Kyle-Rittenhouse-cries-Getty-e1636563831876.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18686026\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Kyle-Rittenhouse-cries-Getty-e1636563831876.jpg\" alt=\"Kyle Rittenhouse cries (Mark Hertzberg-Pool \/ Getty)\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>KENOSHA, WISCONSIN \u2013 NOVEMBER 10: Kyle Rittenhouse becomes emotional describing events leading up to the shooting of Joseph Rosenbaum as he testifies during his trial at the Kenosha County Courthouse on November 10, 2021 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. (Photo by Mark Hertzberg-Pool\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The judge then said they would be taking a ten-minute break before resuming the case.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution had rested its case earlier in the week after laying out the basic elements of the crimes of which Rittenhouse is accused.<\/p>\n<p>On cross-examination, however, several prosecution witnesses admitted that Rittenhouse had only fired his rifle after being pursued.
