According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/sco\/press-release\/file\/1433511\/download\">indictment<\/a>, Sussmann\u2019s allegations led FBI General Counsel James Baker to believe that Sussmann was \u201cacting as a good citizen, merely passing along information.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The indictment alleges that a lawyer for the Clinton campaign \u201cexchanged emails with the Clinton Campaign\u2019s campaign manager, communications director, and foreign policy advisor [Jake Sullivan] concerning the Russian Bank-1 [Alfa Bank] allegations that Sussmann had recently shared with Reporter 1.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6638330\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"33\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-6638330\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Attorney General William Barr reportedly assigned U.S. Attorney John H. Durham to investigate the origins of the Russia investigation. (Screenshot\/YouTube\/Fox News)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Sullivan, who currently serves in the White House as a national security advisor, is that foreign policy advisor, Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/national-security-adviser-jake-sullivan-foreign-policy-advisor-former-clinton-lawyers-indictment\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;on the basis of \u201ctwo well-placed sources\u201d Tuesday.
